The System Transformation team working on the transformation of the new disability support system is preparing for a Cabinet paper in March seeking agreement to rollout the prototype. In the lead up, new Government Ministers have been working closely with the team and are planning on meeting disabled members of the co-design group to ask questions about the new system.

Engagement with the wider disability sector is continuing with many people providing feedback on the proposals from different working groups via the online tool, Loomio. People wanting to give feedback have until the end of March. New working groups will begin shortly on tax, market shaping, brand and identity, and looking at options for early intervention.

Ministry of Health’s Sacha O’Dea has been working with the disability sector since last April, co-designing the transformed disability support system.
