Taihape Health Limited provides an expanded range of services delivered, within a primary care based model, to approximately 3,600 enrolled patients. The health centre houses the GP and primary health nurses, x-ray, social worker/counsellor, community nursing services and visiting specialist clinics; including community mental health. On the same campus is a two-bed primary care maternity inpatient unit and physiotherapy services. They have also provided a nurse-led clinic in Waiouru, since the closure of the McMahon Health Clinic.
Taihape Health has been operating since 2011, as a subsidiary of the Whanganui Regional Health Network.
