Gonville Health sits within a centre located in the heart of the Gonville community; providing health, education and social services to families /whānau within the Whanganui District. The general practice is situated across the road from the local shopping centre and bus stop and is co-located with a pharmacy, library/café and community room. The locality and partners reflect the aspirations of the Gonville community.
We seek applications from qualified, experienced and motivated persons, who wish to lead health service development, delivery and performance, and work alongside a high-functioning team; to ensure that all the general practice service components deliver to best practice quality standards. The expectation is that relationships are formed with the community, which will guide service priorities and improvements to support the ongoing wellbeing of the population.
The successful candidate will:
Be culturally competent and align with the vision and values of Gonville Health, with passion and focus on addressing inequalities in health for Māori, Pasifika and high-need populations
Have managerial experience in health care or a similar type of sector, and obligations to assure a viable and sustainable service that performs well against key performance measures
Have relevant experience and qualifications in business or health management or related fields
Demonstrated commitment to understanding our obligations to the Te Tiriti of Waitangi and evidence of leading a system that is fair and where our people are served well
Understands the importance of an inclusive and supportive workplace culture
Be committed to working in partnership with our clinical and administration leads to deliver the service in line with best practice clinical and business standards
Active participation in direct community and Iwi engagement, to ensure the population we serve is at the centre of all decision-making and actions
