Whanganui Regional Health Network (WRHN) is a Primary Health Organisation (PHO) that provides essential primary health services to the community, covering a population of 60,000 residing in urban and rural locations. PHOs play a part in helping reduce acute demand pressure on hospitals, by proactively supporting high need populations. As a team we are passionate about equitable health care delivery for the Whanganui community.

 

The Network Engineer is an integral position within the WRHN IT team. This is a challenging and interesting role, within a dynamic technical team that values collaboration and employee growth, and offers flexible working hours. This is a full-time position.

Essential requirements include:

• Previous in-depth experience as a Network Engineer 

• Must have layer 2 and layer 3 networking and switching expertise

• Tertiary qualified in either computer science or engineering, or demonstrated work experience

• Proven experience taking ownership and excellent communication skills

• Experience with HP SAN and rack servers and IBM blade servers

• Experience in M365, Azure, Microsoft Servers, Linux/Unix operating systems and mail servers

• Have advanced Cisco, Vmware and Microsoft experience
