Podiatry

Our organisation contracts local Podiatrist Leo Brown to provide podiatry clinics for diabetic patients.  Referral are made by a general practitioner, are free for those who meet the criteria and have foot problems requiring the attention of a specialist.

The three goals are:

  1. To assess the risk of foot complications, like ulcers and infection

  2. To inform patients about how risk occurs

  3. To actively reduce risk via podiatry treatment, guiding through advice and referral to other services as needed

Routine podiatry care or product outside of these criteria will not be funded and patients may be discharged however assistance in finding other service providers or funding will be provided to the clients of required.
