Find a Practice

Enrolment at a general practice can provide you and your whānau with significant benefits, including:

Continuity of Care

This means you can visit the same general practice team over time who will get to know you and your whānau.

Access to your Health Information

Your General Practice team will hold your medical records at the practice and will have your health information on hand every time you visit. This helps the team make fast, informed decisions about your healthcare when you need it. They may also share information such as medication, allergy and lab tests information with you via a secure online patient portal.

Regular Check-ups

When your health team know you and have access to your health information, they can work with you to keep you up to date with any immunisations, screening programmes or health checks to help you and your whānau stay well.

Lower Cost Visits

Being enrolled with a general practice ensures your care will be subsidised at the practice meaning you will receive a lower fee for clinic visits. Those entitled to a Community Services Card will find visits to be cheaper for you and your family with the costs of health care through the Community Service Card (CSC) Scheme.
