Over the past couple of months, the WRHN and Te Whatu Ora Whanganui (TWOW) teams have been working collaboratively to provide vaccination clinics on the Waka hauora at the Saturday River Markets on Taupo Quay.
Over the weekend there were scheduling errors with the Waka Hauora however that didn't deter the WRHN and TWOW vaccination team from running their vaccination clinic at the Riverbank Market on Saturday.
Armed with the ‘can do’ attitude and the help of market organisers, a gazebo was quickly located along with screens and chairs so the clinic could go ahead.
Unseasonably warm weather had the markets buzzing with patrons which saw a steady demand for free RAT tests and masks, along with the provision of over 30 vaccinations, including flu, covid, and whooping cough boosters for adults and children.
