The Waimarino community are connecting with key partners to bring to life the shared vision of designing an approach to develop a Waimarino Wellness Centre that focuses on health and wellbeing.
Learn more about this exciting project here as we work to keep the community up to date with the developments of this Waimarino Wellness Centre that will be based in Raetihi.
The full membership of the development committee is made up of key stakeholders and community representatives from Te Korowai o Wainui-ā-Rua, Te Puke Karanga, Ruapehu Health Ltd (RHL), Te Whatu Ora (TWO) and Whanganui Regional Health Network (WRHN) who have been delegated to represent the various corners of the Waimarino community, with Andrew McKinnon and Honey Winter holding co-chair roles.
Collecting the voices of our community has been an important step in the process. Fortunately, the Healthy Families WRR team have done the hard mahi. In 2021, their insights report was published which centres around Growing Collective Wellbeing in the Whanganui, Rangitīkei and Ruapehu regions.
