Whanganui Accident & Medical is looking for a Casual Receptionist to join our friendly, fast-paced team.

 

We are an accredited Urgent Care clinic, open 7 days a week from 8.00am to 8.00pm, providing care to our community and whānau.  Our reception team plays a key role in keeping the clinic running smoothly and ensuring patients feel welcomed and supported from the moment they arrive.

 

This is a casual position, providing cover for planned leave and at short notice. Flexibility is essential, with shifts across weekdays, evenings, and weekends.

 

Key responsibilities:

• Managing phone enquiries and front desk interactions

• Booking patients into the queue using Medtech Evolution

• Supporting patient flow across triage and reception

• Processing payments and receipting

• General administration and referrals

• Supporting Tyto and Virtual Doctor clinics

 

We’re looking for someone who:

• Is confident with systems and quick to learn

• Communicates clearly and provides great customer service

• Has strong attention to detail

• Stays calm and organised in a busy environment

• Is comfortable discussing fees, payments, and outstanding balances

• Can manage challenging situations calmly and respectfully

• Is flexible and reliable, often at short notice
